“He’s Singing Our Song”
Friday Dr. Puglisi began his weekly visits to initiate PE activities, songs, science and the project “Exploring Space and Time.” We learned a bunch of songs he WROTE!
The first song we learned was called “Days of the Week”

Yes, We Were In the Great California Shakeout!
The Great Southern California Shakeout
This was MY view today during a massive CA practice Earthquake preparedness drill.
1st grade looks a bit different from the ground floor.
My kids did a great job.
We practiced all over CA at 10AM.
The Shakeout had good state support.

We Have A President
Students in my 1st grade were very excited about the election and certainly Election Day proved to be an opportunity to observe the election “in action.” Our school serves as a place to vote. So we got to look in and see the process of “neighbors” making their choices. Wonderful, in action kinds of observations. [...]

Pumpkin Patch Oct 17, 2008

FOR YEARS I paid several hundred dollars to get a bus and take my class to a marvelous Pumpkin Patch. This year I asked families to help by donating a bit toward the $12.00 per child entrance fee!
Now it’s over…..I think they’ll agree IT WAS WORTH IT. (But I am thinking of selling Popcorn [...]
